The Month of December’s Group Exhibition is a return to the space’s historic role as a beloved neighborhood corner shop, as a show theme.

Amidst the consumerism of the traditional shopping madness, the co-op provides an alternative community space while playfully imitating the conventions of convenient commercial goods.
Participating artists explore their role as culture crafters while navigating lurking paradigms of preciousness, accessibility, and consumability. The pressures that influence artists to make small and sell cheap for the holidays creates confrontations between handcrafting and mass-production. Members of the co-op invite their communities to reflect together on the transformation of our most cherished spaces and the role of art in our ever-changing culture.
